Calling all Sherwood Pandas!! PTO Membership for the 2025-2026 school year is now open! (Joining the PTO Membership does not mean you are volunteering. It keeps you informed of all things Sherwood PTO and can get you Family Directory access.)

Two Membership Options:

Unpaid PTO Membership includes the following:

1. Easily volunteer, place orders, and sign up for PTO sponsored events using our online portal.

2. Receive pertinent PTO communications

Paid PTO membership includes the following:

1. EXCLUSIVE access to our online directory of students and families* in the Membership Toolkit app. (*Families will not have access to your contact information if you do not pay. This is the ONLY school-wide directory available.)

2. Easily volunteer, place orders, and sign up for PTO sponsored events using our online portal.

3. Receive pertinent PTO communications

The PTO is continuing to grow, and we want you to be a part of it! Your time and skills are greatly appreciated in whatever capacity you can give.

Besides the many volunteer opportunities throughout the year, the following PTO officer positions will be open for the 2025/2026 school year, and some would be ideal with two people sharing the responsibilities.

Join us on Saturday, September 27, at 8 AM at Ravinia Festival for the FUNd Run!  All proceeds from the FUNd Run provide need-based scholarship opportunities for all District 112 families! This is a rain-or-shine event, and we look forward to seeing you there! There will also be a photo opportunity to take pictures with our very own panda, Bamboo!

As always, the PTO is seeking a parent volunteer for this event. 

Sherwood Elementary PTO - Volunteer Opportunities 2025-2026 

Join us on October 25 from 2-4 pm for Sherwood PTO's Fall Fest! This is a free event for our Sherwood community! A low sensory time will be available from 2-2:20 (only available for children with sensory needs at this time). Enjoy slides, a donut truck, a haunted house and fall-themed arts and crafts projects!

As always, the PTO is seeking parent volunteers for this event.

Ordering begins on August 20 and will end on September 10. Delivery will be at school in early October!

Did you know that the PTO actively organizes programs and events to enrich our students' learning and generate essential funds for our school? The money we raise directly enables us to provide teacher grants, fulfill teacher wish lists, and support field trips and assemblies, among many other important initiatives! Your involvement makes a difference!

What is the Angel Fund?

The Angel Fund collects anonymous donations from our generous Sherwood Families. Donations to the Angel Fund are accepted throughout the year on our website and provide opportunities for Sherwood students who might not otherwise be able to afford to participate in various PTO and school programs. 

The purpose of the Angel Fund is to ensure every Sherwood student has the opportunity to participate in all Sherwood activities and functions, regardless of their financial ability. 

The money collected for Angel Fund is held by the PTO and is released at the discretion of the Sherwood Principal. This year, Angel Fund will pay for once weekly Lunch Solutions meals, supplemental snacks, PTO event entry and participation for eligible students. 

Parents/Guardians who would like support for school activities or programs for their Sherwood student should contact Principal Kevin Saunders.
