Happy Tuesday!

Thank you for your feedback regarding the Bamboo Bulletin! As a result, we will be sending this email every other week: at the beginning of each month, the Bamboo Bulletin will be contain detailed information about PTO related topics and upcoming events. Emails later in the month will be lighter containing highlights from the PTO.

PRINCIPAL'S WEEK

Last week 10/20-10/24, the State of Illinois and therefore Sherwood, celebrated Principal's Week. Mr. Saunders was recognized at the NSSD112 Board Meeting, by Sherwood staff, by the PTO, and by students all week long for being our wonderful leader of the Sherwood Pandas. Thank you for all you do Mr. Saunders!!

FALL FEST

Thank you for joining us for Sherwood's Fall Fest this past weekend. We hope you enjoyed the festive event.

A special thanks goes to Fall Fest Chair Marni Morris, and to Heather Hobbs, Teddy Ribbens, Lilly Ribbens, Audrea King, Norbert King, Emma King, Colin King, Connor King, Rob Eisenberg, David Graubart, Betsy Scher and Josh Morris for volunteering their time to make this a successful event.

A big thanks to our Angel Fund Co-Chair Desiree Wilkow for organizing and collecting non-perishable food donations for the Morainne Township Food Pantry. Desiree dropped off a FULL carload of food donations because of the generosity of Fall Fest attendees!

Also, thank you to our Fall Fest Sponsor, Jacqueline Lotzoft of Compass' Lotzoft/Malk for bringing us the Arts & Crafts space, Raffle Baskets, and extra candy!

Sherwood Book Fair

Join us November 17-20 for our Sherwood Book Fair! Students will visit the Book Fair during their scheduled library hours however, will have an opportunity to preview the books before making any purchases on Monday, 11/17.

*Please note, there will not be a pre-payment option this year. Cash, credit cards (including Visa gift cards), and Apple Pay. Therefore, feel free to send your student to school with a payment option of your choice.

As always, the PTO is seeking parent volunteers for this event. Please sign up on our website.

Share your Photos for the Sherwood Yearbook!

We need your help to collect photos throughout the year! Using photos from our Sherwood events, please upload a group photo and include the student's name(s) and teacher's information whenever possible to assist our yearbook team.

PTO Office Hours

Join the Sherwood PTO Co-Presidents on Friday afternoons from 1-4 pm at Double Cup to come share ideas, provide feedback, chat with members of the PTO, or just check in to see what's happening! Open to all Sherwood families and staff. Look for the Panda!

**Will not be taking place 10/31, 11/21, 11/28, 12/19, and 12/26.

Now that we've received our spirit wear, let's create school unity and pride by wearing our Sherwood gear on Fridays! Don't forget to take a picture and tag us on Instagram!

Lunch Solutions

To ensure your child enjoys their meals, place your orders by Thursday at 10:00 a.m. for the following week.

Need to make adjustments? You can easily modify your order on the "Orders and Payments" screen, as long as changes are made by Thursday at 10:00 a.m. of the previous week.

If your child is absent on a day when lunch has been ordered, simply call the school by 10:00 a.m. if you’d like to pick up their lunch. Thank you for your cooperation!

PANDA BIRTHDAY SIGNS

Make your child's day by purchasing our Panda Birthday Signs! For $25, we will come to your house the night before your child's birthday and decorate your lawn with the signs. They will be up all day, so be sure to take plenty of pictures with them, and don't forget to share on our Instagram— and don't worry about removal! We have you covered. It's a great way to celebrate your child's birthday AND support the Sherwood PTO in the process!!

**Please remember to enter your child's birthday and address in the box provided on the form, and order at least two weeks prior to the date requested.**

Lost & Found- Come and Get It!

Our Lost & Found is starting to pile up! Please remind your student(s) to check the Lost & Found area near the Cafeteria for any belongings they may have misplaced.

Parents are welcome to come check the Lost & Found provided they sign in with Ms. TJ at the front desk (don't forget your ID!).

Reminder- as colder months are approaching, don't forget to label all hats, gloves, coats, snow pants, etc.
