To ensure the success of each classroom at Sherwood, we need 2 room parent volunteers for each classroom. We are still short on some volunteers and need your help. The following rooms still need volunteers:

-Zwrin (1 Vacancy)

-Goldsmith (2 vacancies)

The PTO is continuing to grow, and we want you to be a part of it! Your time and skills are greatly appreciated in whatever capacity you can give.

Besides the many volunteer opportunities throughout the year, the following PTO officer positions will be open for the 2025/2026 school year, and some would be ideal with two people sharing the responsibilities.

Join us on Saturday, September 27, at 8 AM at Ravinia Festival for the FUNd Run!  All proceeds from the FUNd Run provide need-based scholarship opportunities for all families in District 112. This is a rain-or-shine event, and we look forward to seeing you there! 

The 5K begins at 8:00 a.m., and the Family Walk begins at 8:10 a.m. Packet pick-up will take place on Thursday, September 25, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Friday, September 26, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., both at Indian Trail School. Proceeds from the FUNd Run provide needs-based scholarship opportunities for D112 families and other Foundation initiatives. Don't forget to stay after the run and walk to get a group photo with Sherwood staff and our mascot, Bamboo! 

Join us on October 25 from 2-4 pm for Sherwood PTO's Fall Fest! This is a free event for our Sherwood community! We are asking for a donation to the Moriane Food Pantry upon entering. They need salad dressing, oil, seasonings, condiments, and pasta sauce. A low sensory time will be available from 2-2:20 (only available for children with sensory needs at this time). Enjoy slides, a donut truck, a haunted house, and fall-themed arts and crafts projects!

As always, the PTO is seeking parent volunteers for this event. 

Join the Sherwood PTO Co-Presidents on Friday afternoons from 1-4 pm at Double Cup to come share ideas, chat with members of the PTO, or check in to see what's happening!

Did you know that the PTO actively organizes programs and events to enrich our students' learning and generate essential funds for our school? The money we raise directly enables us to provide teacher grants, fulfill teacher wish lists, and support field trips and assemblies, among many other important initiatives! Your involvement makes a difference!
